Maitland Consulting Inc. was established in 2022 with a simple belief: meaningful progress happens when strategy, people, and implementation are aligned. Founder Jess Maitland brings over 17 years of experience in higher education and public-sector environments, helping organizations turn ideas into actionable and sustainable outcomes. Her greatest joy comes from helping teams and organizations reach their goals and discover new ways to think about their work and impact.

Jess’s background spans governance, academic program development, policy design, and operational leadership. Her approach is grounded in systems thinking, equity-focused practice, and a deep understanding of institutional culture and change. With a BA, GDBA, and MEd, Jess continues to expand her learning in organizational development, leadership and personal development, process improvement, and inclusive design—ensuring each engagement reflects both rigor and humanity.

In Jess’s free time, you’ll find her outside with her many farm animals or inside playing and creating art projects with her two young daughters.

Known for her collaborative, analytical, and strategic consideration, Charisse is a trusted partner that can provide consultation on a wide range of Human Resources issues to any level of an organization.

With over a decade of progressive experience in Employee and Labour Relations, Charisse has built a strong track record of supporting complex, unionized environments across the transportation, post-secondary, and policing sectors. She brings extensive expertise in grievance management, collective agreement interpretation, and strategic guidance to support positive labour–management projects.

In her personal time, she enjoys the company of her family and their Bernese mountain dog, exploring the lower mainland’s parks and trails. Local travel, experiencing new food, a deep love for a good cup of coffee, and watercolour painting are among Charisse’s many interests and self-care rituals.

With over a decade of global experience in leadership development, coaching, and organizational change, he has supported more than 1500 leaders across industries and continents to unlock growth and deliver lasting impact.

A significant focus of his work includes guiding leaders through change and transition by strengthening communication, increasing alignment, and equipping teams to navigate ambiguity with confidence. Known for his relational intelligence and systemic perspective, Angad creates psychologically safe environments where leaders stretch their comfort zones and turn feedback into meaningful growth.

As the founder of Luminate Leadership and former Vice President at The Coaching Studio, Angad has shaped large-scale leadership programs, 360° feedback processes, and coaching experiences that drive measurable transformation at both the individual and organizational levels. His commitment to diversity, inclusion, belonging, and equity runs through all of his work, ensuring leadership development is not only effective but deeply human.
